Welcome to the 2nd annual Interstate Challenge!!!
The Interstate Challenge is designed to bring a little extra competition to the players that travel between Washington and Oregon competing in the two state series’. It is a one-time buy in that must be made before you compete in the first qualifying event you intend to have count. The Interstate Challenge is not a winner-take-all contest but it is very close.
This extra competition is here to provide a higher reward to those that put in the time and money to travel and have an excellent season at the same time. Last year, Nate Sexton of Corvallis, OR brought home $800 for his efforts in pro open men & Chandler Fry of Olympia, WA brought home $500 for his efforts in amateur advanced men. Gawain Stern went uncontested and won his money back ($40) for his efforts in amateur advanced masters men.
Any pro division and any advanced division may form with any amount of players. The division’s payout will be directly reflected by how many players are competing in the division.

In an attempt to make the Interstate Challenge appeal to more people, I have made a few changes for 2008.
First, I am expanding the qualifying events to include most of the Washington state series & all of the Oregon state series. The Fort Steilacoom Open will also be included as a qualifying event. This makes eight qualifying events in Washington and seven qualifying events in Oregon to choose from.
Second, there are no more “guaranteed grand prizes”. The payout is similar to last year; it just doesn’t have a guaranteed minimum payout.
